Abstract: I inherited a "mission critical" PHP4 application in 2014, that was loaded on a desktop and sitting under someone's desk. I'll step though everything I did (and places I screwed up) to get it at least somewhat secure.

Bio: Gene has been a computer nerd his whole life, and has been doing it for a paycheck for about 25 years. His interests include IT security (purple teaming), networking, and tiny computers such as the Raspberry Pi. He lives in Jacksonville with his wife, son and dog.
