Python is an indispensable tool for InfoSec and Systems Administration and is used to create many of your favorite tools. If you can program in Python, you can create your own tools for automation, efficiently filter/analyze/process data, or contribute to your favorite open source project. Scripting and programming skills are highly valued by employers and can improve your career prospects. If you've always wanted to learn to program but haven't had a chance to learn, this presentation is for you. This talk will begin with the basics, will cover program design and structure best practices, and provide useful tips and tricks.

Bart 'd4ncingd4n' Hopper is a threat intelligence analyst for Arbor Network's ASERT team. Before Arbor, he lead the security program at a financial institution and was a systems administrator for a healthcare start up. His training came from the 'Book of the Month' club, a quest for knowledge, and the school of hard knocks.

(Note: We lost the audio to Bart's talk for a 2nd year in a row, and for a 2nd year in a row he made us a new one at home. Thanks Bart!)
