Evaluating Commercial Cyber Threat Intelligence Over the last 2 years, interest in commercial threat intelligence services has grown beyond the traditional government and financial services sectors. According to Gartner, by 2018, 60% of large enterprises globally will utilize commercial threat intelligence services to help inform their security strategies. Not surprisingly, the number of vendors purporting to provide threat intelligence has grown exponentially. Unfortunately, the term "threat intelligence" is often mis-used and sometimes misrepresented. The result is a market full of confusing differentiators and even more confused clients – many who aren’t really sure what they are looking for in the first place.
