This talk will cover the most common ransomware and a synopsis of how they operate, the different platforms, and the variants built off of these platforms.

For over 17 years, I have specialized defending, securing, and protecting corporate networks. During this time, I built security operation centers for Fortune 500 companies, providing expert guidance in all areas of security operations. I built incident response and threat intelligence programs, focusing on profiling state and individual threat actors and taking this information and building adaptive monitoring programs. I have assisted federal agencies on cyber-crime investigations of foreign threats. As a subject matter expert, I have been interview by local news outlets, online publications, and CNN as an expert on information security and threat intelligence.
