We will be unveiling the Parasyte project at HouSecCon. Using the newly released USB Armory device, we are developing a multi-threat penetration testing appliance. As a penetration tester, I want a device that I can plug into a host system that automatically calls home to me with its onboard Linux OS. From there I can use the Parasyte device along with the host system to further compromise the environment. While we,re at it, let,s have the device harvest useful data from the host. And for a truly autonomous penetration testing tool, our behavioral scripting system allows for automated attacks in offline or heavily monitored environments. Richard Peters, CISA, CISSP, QSA is a Director with Berkeley Research Group LLC within the Technology Advisory Practice, specializing in Information Security and Compliance. He brings over 15 years of experience managing, performing and delivering IT security solutions. This experience includes technology risk management, IT auditing, IT Security Assessments, Internal Auditing, Attack and Penetration Testing services and security analysis in domestic and global entities in the energy, technology, financial and manufacturing industries. Matthew Roth is a Computer Information Systems undergraduate student at the University of Houston - Clear Lake. He is the founder and president of the UHCL Chapter of ABCIA, an organization that furthers cybersecurity awareness and education through special events, seminars, and guest lectures. Matthew is a former intern of Berkeley Research Group, and his skills include penetration testing, vulnerability analysis, and software development.
