DD-WRT is a Linux firmware available for many Linksys, NetGear, Belkin, D-Link, Fon, Dell, Asus and other vendor's wireless routers. DD-WRT is far more feature rich than the stock firmware that comes with most routers. Some of the notable features include: IPv6 support, Wireless Distribution System, Radius, VPN, over clocking capability, software installs, radio output power control, SPI firewalling, QOS controls, bandwidth monitoring, SSH daemon, hotspot software, Samba/CIFS client and much more. In this first video, I'll be doing a simple install of DD-WRT to my recently purchased Linksys WRT310N.
