IT and Information Security is going through a major shift; one that we have not ever had to face. With the influx of mobile devices and BYOD, our security models are being flipped on their heads. In some ways, IT Security professionals are entering “the perfect storm”, so let’s be as prepared as possible. Mobile security cannot be handled like a fad because of the explosiveness of mobile devices over the next 5-10 years. As security professionals we need to think, debate, and collaborate on the best ways to secure our organizations as more mobile devices come into play. This is meant to be an informative and thought provoking presentation. By the end of it, the audience should take away questions to ponder how the best way to take on mobile security at their organizations.

Matthew Witten is currently the Chief Information Security Officer at the City of Louisville, Kentucky, where he manages the Information Security program and develops secure solutions for the ever-changing digital world. Matt has over 13 years of Information Security, Information Risk, and IT experience. Matt has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Indiana Wesleyan University and a BA in History/Business Administration from Bellarmine University. He is a Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified in Risk and Information Controls (CRISC), and holds various other vendor-specific IT certifications.
