It’s a Trap! Running A Con Network: An Exercise in Masochism. Notacon 9 (Hacking Illustrated Series InfoSec Tutorial Videos)

It’s a Trap! Running A Con Network: An Exercise in Masochism.
Notacon 9

Synopsis

So, you have been asked to build and maintain a network for a hacker conference? The first step is easy, RUN! Run as fast as you can, and don’t look back. You didn’t listen did you? Okay fine, let’s do this. I’ve been more or less running the Notacon network since NAC5. Over the years I have learned quite a few tricks to make this job just a little easier. This presentation will cover a very brief history of the evolution of Notacon’s network. I will also touch base on the methods I have employed to acquire the resources vital to the success of the network. Most of time will be spent covering the technical aspects of the network, the current design and why, challenges we have encountered, and what we have in store for future years. I’ll also be available for questions all weekend, for anyone who wants to talk shop.
