How integrated next generation network Meta Data will help you eliminate VLANs and VRFs while speeding policy deployment and easing audit compliance. This presentation will show how Access Lists are going to be dramatically simplified and made topology independent by eliminating the reliance on IP Addresses. After attending this session, you will see a way to achieve dramatically faster network changes and workload moves while maintaining a very auditable network. Bio: Scott Kirby is a Distinguished Systems Engineer with Cisco Systems Global Enterprise Sales where he provides expertise in Network Engineering Concepts around protecting large-scale infrastructure from anomalies and attacks. Scott spent the last 23 years helping drive product capabilities in Cisco products (and solutions architectures) while helping customers build out large-scale networks. Before Cisco, Scott spent 6 years with Teledyne Brown Engineering where he built out a large scale AppleTalk, OSI, and IP network (and a few other protocols scattered around) with connections to NASA and DOD. While not dedicated to just security, Scott has 28 years of experience with networking, which unavoidably includes security measures.
