Doesn't It make You WannaCry: Mitigating Ransomware on a Windows Network
Abstract:
The Petya and WannaCry ransomware attacks were some of the most destructive cyberattacks we've seen - and could be the start of a whole new attack methodology.
In this session, we'll talk about how the attacks started, how they spread, and what the impact of the attack was on the target organizations.
We'll also describe the recovery process that many organizations had to perform.
Finally, we will identify very specific recommendations to help defend against this type of attack, as well as discussing some of the typical issues that prevent an organization from implementing the controls that would prevent this type of attack.
