Paid Russian trolls succeeded in creating confusion and discord. The US presidential election wasn't the first, nor will it be the last, time that social media was manipulated. This talk uses natural language processing tools and techniques to identify Russian trolls who are posting on English social media platforms.

Dr. Courtney Falk is an information security professional with over ten years of experience in the government, academic, and public sectors. He earned his doctorate of philosophy from Purdue University while researching the applications of natural language processing to information security problems. Courtney currently works as the senior research scientist for Optiv's Global Threat Intelligence Center.
